Once my grandmother and I were travelling to another city. She was a good-looking old lady used to a modest life and not used to pleasant things. I wanted to teach her some luxury life experience. During the day we visited a walking tour, opera, and art museum. I invited her for a dinner before going to the train station to catch our train back home. I chose a famous family restaurant I heard a lot about. “Please, Grandma, let me invite you!” I asked. She agreed. When we picked the table, a restaurant owner came to help us with the menu. My grandma addressed the restaurant owner with her favorite complaint, “You know, I'm a pensioner and going to restaurants is not my cup of tea. It's too expensive here.” “Okay, what budget do you want for your dinner?” the owner was brave enough to confront my grandmother. “I would like something cheap like meatballs with mashed potatoes.” “Deal. I will serve you our best dishes at a price of meatballs with mashed potatoes.” And she really did. She brought us three fish dishes and homemade compote. According to our bill, our dinner was just meatballs with mashed potatoes. After we finished dinner, I paid the bill and we hurried up to the train station. My grandmother was touched with the owner's attitude. Tears stood in her eyes.
