There is an old movie Dead Poets Society starring Robin Williams. It's one of my favourite movies. It speaks about choices, crisis of young adulthood, friendship, and betrayal. The movie's main message is a Latin phrase “carpe diem” which means - seize the day. Remember this is the only day you have. Cherish it!
I spent years before I gained this superpower to appreciate the present. You know, I spent four years trying to edit my article for a scientific bulletin. Of course, I failed and finally decided to quit. For five years, I was crying over my first lover who broke my heart. I was postponing a boring work project for six months instead of finishing it in a couple of months. Of course, in many cases you should take your time like when you need to get your mind together or mourn the loss. There is a Time Management trick: if two minutes are enough to do something you need to do, do it now. Such unfinished tiny tasks grow into a kilometer-long tail of a dragon devouring your time. Finally, I have acquired this superpower. To close unnecessary tabs, turn pages, finish stories. To allow something new to happen.
