Transportation in Istanbul, Turkey. Part 1
Istanbul, Turkey has the Bosporus in the middle of the city. The three most popular forms of transportation in Istanbul are ferryboats, taxis, and busses. There are some advantages and some disadvantages for all three.
Firstly, ferryboats and busses are not expensive. Both ferryboats and busses cost about two Turkish Liras (about .75 Euro). On the other hand, taxis are very expensive. For example, a bus ticket costs two Turkish Liras but a taxi might cost 20 Turkish Liras. Many people choose to take a bus or a ferryboat because they are cheaper than taxis. However, many people take taxis when they are traveling in a large group. Taxis are more affordable when a group pays for the ride.
